Poor Bunny

I woke up this morning to find the bunny I've been working on all over my livingroom floor. Seems my dog decided that it was a toy for him to chew up. Luckily fiber is very forgiving, and I whould be able to fix him.

Dyeing Fiber

I think that I have finally figured st the trick to dyeing fiber. I have spent the last week experimenting with different colors. I use Kool Aid and vinager. First I fill a large pot with warm water. I wet my wool, then add some vinager and a couple packets of Kool Aid to the pot. I add the wool, set the temperature to simmer, and leave it for a couple hours. When it looks like most of the color has been absorbed, I turn the burner off, and let the water cool to room temperature. The water should be clear. I drain the water, rinse the wool (in water the same temperature the wool was in), and hang it to dry.

Just Getting Started

Hi Everyone~

I'm new at this whole blog thing. I wanted to start this blog to share my love of needle felting. I have been felting for several years now, but I have only just gotten back into it after a long hiatus. Pinky here was my first attempt at needle felting.

Santa is my favorite piece that I have made so far. I am really happy with how his face and hands turned out, but I'm not thrilled with his body.
